Meet Leslie Nunez

Leslie Nunez is a board certified Physician Assistant specializing in Bariatrics and Medical weight loss management here at NY Minimally Invasive Surgery. Leslie has 2 years of experience in medical weight loss in Garden City, New York. She also has worked for 4 years as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery at New York Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital. She graduated with honors from St. John’s University in 2017 for her undergraduate and Physician Assistant Studies. Leslie is an active member of the Obesity Medicine Association and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. She has developed a strong passion for helping patients achieve their weight loss and wellness goals through lifestyle changes, medication management, and referring surgical interventions when appropriate. She finds it extremely rewarding to empower others and looks forward to the opportunity to work with our patients to take control of their health.
