Jennifer Oliver was born in Brooklyn and raised on Staten Island. She attended Wagner College in Staten Island and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
After graduating, Jennifer began working at St. Vincent’s Medical Center (now Richmond University Medical Center) as a Medical-Surgical Nurse, an ICU Nurse and an Assistant Nurse Manager. She continued working at RUMC while furthering her education and earned her Master of Science degree (Adult Health Nurse Practitioner) at the College of Staten Island in 2010. Jennifer specializes in weight management and bariatric surgery care both at NYU Langone Medical Center and New York Minimally Invasive Surgery.
She has been trained by the best surgeons in New York City including Dr. Marina Kurian, whom she works side by side monitoring our medically supervised weight management and Bariatric surgery program. Jennifer holds two national board certifications with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as an adult health nurse practitioner as well as a Registered Nurse, is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Jennifer spends her free time with family, friends and her new puppy! She enjoys traveling, gardening and cooking with her husband, Ron.
